LANSING HARBOR
Lansing Harbor is a premier full-service marina located on the picturesque shores of Cayuga Lake in Lansing, New York. Situated just south of Myers Park, it offers a comprehensive range of services designed to provide a stress-free and enjoyable boating experience.

A Legacy on Cayuga Lake
Established in 1955, Lansing Harbor has a rich history rooted in vision, perseverance, and a deep passion for boating on Cayuga Lake. The marina was founded by Leon ‘Bo’ Ford and his wife, Louise C. Ford. Bo, who served as the head caretaker at Taughannock Falls State Park in the early 1950s, spent his spare time repairing boats. Looking across Cayuga Lake at the swampy land south of Myers Point, he envisioned a thriving marina.
In 1954, Bo and Louise purchased the land and began construction. Tragically, Bo passed away before the marina was completed, but Louise carried forward his dream, officially opening the marina in 1955. For the next six decades, she successfully operated the marina, later passing the reins to their son, Barry Ford, in 2015. The Ford family proudly operated the marina for nearly 66 years, shaping it into a beloved destination for boaters and Cayuga Lake enthusiasts.
A New Era: Marina One Management Inc.
In May 2021, Barry Ford entrusted the marina to its new owners, Paul Barber and Greg Mezey. With a shared history dating back to their time at Cornell University, Barber and Mezey have been business partners since 2012, collaborating on various ventures. Recognizing the marina as a once-in-a-generation opportunity, they seized the chance to build upon the Ford family’s legacy.
To reflect this new chapter, Marina One Management Inc. was established in 2021 to oversee operations under the Finger Lakes Marine Service name. In the spring of 2022, the marina was officially renamed Lansing Harbor.

Looking Ahead
Today, Barber and Mezey remain committed to enhancing Lansing Harbor, continuously investing in improvements to modernize facilities, expand services, and elevate the overall boating experience. While honoring the marina’s deep-rooted history, they are dedicated to shaping its future—ensuring that Lansing Harbor remains a premier destination on Cayuga Lake for generations to come.
