What's Included
We stabilize the fuel, fog the cylinders, change the oil, and flush and drain the cooling system so freezing temperatures can't crack a thing.
We drain and add antifreeze to the lines, livewells, washdowns, and freshwater systems, so nothing freezes, swells, or splits over the winter.
Professional shrink wrapping gives your boat a tight, weatherproof seal that sheds snow, ice, and moisture from the first frost to the spring thaw.
Keep your boat secure all winter with outdoor storage on stands, cradles or your own trailer, plus limited unheated indoor storage for trailer boats and pontoons.

Batteries that lose charging life over the winter are not the responsibility of Lansing Harbor and will need to be replaced in the spring at the customer’s expense.
Winterization only: pick-up due within one week of completed winterization. $250 / week after that; the full winter storage contract rate applies to any boat still on the property after November 30.
Includes: draining the block, reinstalling drain plugs, -100 rated antifreeze, battery disconnect, fuel stabilizer, and a lower unit or outdrive water check. Lower unit or outdrive check is free — if we find water or milky fluid we drain, refill, notify you, and bill that separately.
Payment. Storage and service fees are due when haul-out is scheduled. Your haul-out date is not reserved until paid in full.
Late contracts. A 10% surcharge may apply to winter contracts received after October 15.
Insurance. Proof of marine insurance of at least $500,000, naming Lansing Harbor as additional insured, plus current registration, are required before haul-out.

Keys. Keep keys in the ignition. A $185 charge applies to tow the boat to the hoist or ramp if no key is present or the boat fails to start.

Winterization FAQ
Before the first hard freeze — typically mid-to-late fall in the Finger Lakes. Booking early secures your spot before the rush as the season winds down.
We stabilize fuel, fog the engine, change the oil, drain and flush the cooling system, and add antifreeze to every line, livewell, and freshwater system.
Our indoor storage is unheated, so we still recommend shrink wrap for most boats. Shrink wrapping adds a tight, weatherproof seal against snow, ice and moisture — indoors or out. We shrink-wrap only; we do not tarp.
Absolutely. We offer indoor and outdoor storage, plus haul-out and launch, so your boat stays protected from freeze-up to spring.
Come spring we de-winterize, inspect your systems, and launch you back onto Cayuga Lake for a hassle-free start to the season.
